The Courtyard House

The entrance space needed to feel calm, welcoming and closely connected to the architecture while maintaining a clear and contemporary character. The challenge was balancing strong geometric forms with softer planting, creating an approach that feels elegant throughout the seasons without overwhelming the simplicity of the house.

We developed a restrained planting palette of clipped evergreen forms, ornamental grasses and carefully positioned multi-stem trees to create depth and movement within a highly structured layout. Natural stone paving and gravel joints reinforce the architectural lines, while subtle lighting and layered textures ensure the entrance remains refined, welcoming and visually balanced year-round.
