Concept Development

Once we understand the site, we develop the concept — the organising idea that everything else hangs from. This is the stage where a garden stops being a list of features and becomes a coherent place.

How the concept forms

We start with how you want to use the space: where you'll eat, where you'll sit in the morning, what you want to see from the kitchen window. Then we look at what the site offers — its levels, its light, its relationship to the architecture. The concept is where those two things meet.

Agreed before we go further

We share the thinking early, in plain language, because the concept is where changes are cheap. Once the direction is agreed, detailed drawings become a matter of execution rather than exploration — which keeps the project moving and the budget predictable.
